Summer Lunch Outing
The day was a lot kinder weather wise, it didn’t rain whilst waiting for the coach to pick us up in Hartley.
Cross Keys Coaches picked us up with Justin our driver for the day. Our first stop was for 45mins at Battle where we stretched our legs and had a Coffee/Tea then on to Pevensey Bay.
The Moorings restaurant looked out to the English channel a little cloudy at first but still a view. The staff did an excellent job in looking after all 51 of us plus the driver. We had a very varied Three Course Menu all for £10ppn. The meal was enjoyed by everyone. We arrived about 12 noon and left at 3pm. The restaurant was full but we were not rushed at all.
We got back on the coach and made our way to Eastbourne where everyone did their own thing, some went in to the town and others went along the pier where some of us had tea & scones!
We left Eastbourne at 4.30 and made our way home back to Hartley. Everyone enjoyed their day out and as it was so successful I think that we will probably do it again next year.
