Autumn Trip to Somerset, 2017
A full coach load of Hadara Travellers set off on the Friday morning, driven by Neil, our driver for the whole trip. We arrived at our hotel in Weston super Mare in time for a lovely cream tea. We had plenty of time to freshen up and watch the sunset before enjoying our first evening dinner there, followed by an evening of entertainment and dancing.
On the Saturday, Neil drove us to Bristol to collect our Blue Badge guide, Liz. We then had a guided tour of the sites in and around Bristol, stopping at the Clifton Suspension Bridge and The SS Great Britain. Tickets for the tour of the Great Britain were included with the trip.
After lunch we set off again for a guided tour through the Mendips to Bath. After seeing the sites of Bath there was time for some shopping before the journey back to our hotel – where Christmas was waiting for us!
On the Sunday we visited Cheddar Gorge and the City of Wells with its absolutely stunning Cathedral. There was still time for some cider tasting on the journey back to the hotel. After another lovely dinner, we had plenty of time to relax and be entertained with more opportunity to sing and dance.
On the Monday morning there was time for one more hotel breakfast before setting off again, this time to Hartley. Neil managed to sail through the traffic to get us back very quickly. Thank you Neil and thank you Hadara Travel.
