Around 80 members from Hadara and Shadara met for the annual putting competition at Redlibbets golf club on 1st September 2017.
This year the cup was deservedly won by Hadara after a tough yet hilarious 7 hole challenge. The afternoon began with the customary ham, egg and chips, washed down with just enough drink to ensure that most competitors couldn’t putt straight.
Teams of four took to the greens in turn and there were some admirable holes in one but some holes in double figures too! The sun shone for most of the event making it a pleasant afternoon for both players and spectators.
Scores were added up whilst we all enjoyed a cream tea; sandwiches, scones and cakes. The prizes and cup were awarded and then the free raffle was held to finish off another very lovely putting day at Redlibbets.
