Oxford by Coach & Boat
With Guide and Lunch
Monday 23rd September 2019
We had a delicious lunch at The Kings Arms pub, served hot and quickly and here are some photos of our members enjoying their meal.
These photos show some more of our members enjoying their lunch. Then our very knowledgeable and interesting guide took us on a walking tour of the most important buildings in Oxford including the Bodleian Library and Sheldonian.
These were also taken inside the courtyard of the Bodleian and around the Radcliffe Camera building. Then our members can be seen outside Trinity College waiting to go in for our tour.
These were all taken inside Trinity College quad, chapel and dining hall.
These final pictures were taken at the side of the river Isis where we were about to catch our boat.
Most of us decided against the walk up to the church and nearby village when the boat docked and instead stayed in the pub for afternoon tea or something stronger to set us up for the return boat journey, followed by our coach ride home.
